Before getting started, you will need to obtain your own API key / Client ID and Secret. Please register here for your free FatSecret Platform API account and request your API key / Client ID: https://platform.fatsecret.com/register

We have several libraries available such as Github and Postman.

There is an extensive section on our Localization capabilities which explains how to access non-US and non-English data. In total, our Platform API provides access to more than 55 unique and stand-alone country datasets which will cover local generics, branded/manufactured products as well as restaurant items and recipes.

By default, the API will return food data from the US dataset while the default language is English.

However, we have more than 55 unique, stand-alone and separate country datasets available via our Platform API and all of those can returned in any of our 23 supported languages.
