Subscribed, email confirming even arrived, still won't work.

All I am trying to do is test the endpoint on the UI in Chrome. From there, I subscribed, the system sent me an email to tell me it worked, but still it constantly redirects me to the subscription page saying I must be subscribed first.

Is there some nuance to this or is it simply broken?
