Search Result Description not always parsing correctly

Looks like between 10% and 15% of the time the API isn’t parsing the search result description properly. I suspect Google has multiple formats for that and the API isn’t parsing one of them correctly.

Keyword in this case was best SEO tools and I pulled the API results 30 times for the keyword to get the stats and I am unable to manualy reproduce these short descriptions in search.

Thanks for the report. We’ll have the developers take a look.

The dev has rolled out an update. The descriptions should be fixed. Let us know if the problem continues. Thank you.

It did improve but the problem still remains. Before is was parsing 87% and failing 13%. Now it is parsing 95% and failing 5%. So definitely good improvement. 😃

But it is still failing 5%… which likely means there is another formatting variation of the search result description you still aren’t parsing:

I’ll pase that information on.

Please try the API again. It should return all the descriptions now. Please let us know if you continue to have issues.
