This month we are exploring RapidAPI’s worldwide office locations, starting with the HQ — San Francisco! We interviewed three teammates to learn more about the San Francisco office and how it has changed over the years.
Q: How has the San Francisco office evolved since you joined RapidAPI?
“When I first joined RapidAPI, we were in a small coworking space with four desks in it. I always joke that it was an office space for four people smaller than my bedroom is today (which is not saying much considering I live in San Francisco…). It has been so amazing to see the company grow to now being hundreds of people with five locations worldwide.”
– Alex Walling, Field CTO
Q: What activities or events have you been planning now that the San Francisco team can gather in person again?
“We most recently held our St. Patrick’s Day Party in the office. A mix of food, drinks, socializing, and games. We’re looking forward to incorporate both formal and informal lunches, coffee breaks, happy hours, and team building activities. Our main focus is always helping staff readjust to a return to office, and meeting and working with fellow employees they’ve only interacted with remotely until now. RapidAPI is growing rapidly, so our gathering are always a great opportunity to meet new team members from all over the country and the world!”
– Peter Bayuk, San Francisco Office Manager
Q: What is your favorite thing about living in San Francisco?
“My favorite thing about living in San Francisco has to be the weather! It being around 65 everyday is so hard to bear with amazing sights to see and you are never bored.”
– Spencer Hollomon, Sales Development Representative
