The channelId is the unique identifier that YouTube assigns to each channel. The channel id is the variable character (letters and numbers) value that is suffixed after each channel’s youtube.com/channel/<channel id> url. Vanity urls and usernames will not be accepted instead and will return an error.
Don’t want to use the channelId value? You can use the channelName query param to get a proejction for a channel instead!
