The endpoint is working fine on my side. If you click the link you can see that is showing the data in the browser.
Maybe that´s a CORS issue? Try to use the API via the RapidApi endpoints… That will fix the CORS issue.

Most played, and new games can be found if you sort the games list by popularity or release date.
