API hits are not working with URL

We are trying to hit the Text Summarization api with a url and sentence length. The text only post request seems to work, but the url post requests do not, even in the generic cases preloaded into the site. Any help would be appreciated! lbarons@umich.edu

it depends on the website you want summarized, which may not want the spider to scrape it.

Thanks! Another question - some websites with https work and others don’t, what are the restrictions on the urls and the pages behind them?

Thank you for reminding, I found the wikipedia url has changed from “http” to “https” and need some time to debug it.

This occurred using the website with the sample “hit endpoint”. So I think it should be working. It was the simple Wikipedia article (the example) -and I didn’t change anything . I hit “test endpoint” and it returns with the API could not recognize the request. The second example with the text included works, but neither example with a URL is accepted. We need to be able to use both options - sometimes summarize a chunk of text, but also sometimes summarize an entire webpage by url, which is why we are trying to use the API!

Sorry, maybe the url you used not supported by the summarizer api. We encourage you get the document text first , then use the text summarization api
