One of the most important differences in the prices published on Booking are the geographic rates according to the country from which the user searches. Hotels often apply geolocated prices.
However, although in the API there is the possibility to choose the geolocation, with the parameter “locale”, it doesn’t seem to work at all. For example, if I define a search with locale: ‘uk’ or locale “en-gb” the hotel prices returned are the same as those returned with any other value, be it “es” or “fr” for example. However, with a simple VPN, it is easy to see that there is a difference in the prices that hotels publish in these countries.
Can you fix this, or is this parameter not working at all and it is a waste of time and money to wait for this to work properly?
