We are looking to move from using the Yahoo Finance API to use Seeking Alpha. Is there a rule for the format of a stock symbol ? For instance it seems like for US stocks the Yahoo symbol and Seeking Alpha symbol are the same but for say a non-US stock Yahoo use a .? format where .? is the location/exchange. So for the London listing of Vodafone its VOD.L. I see we can use just VOD on Seeking Alpha but was wondering what happens where there is a US and non-US company with the same symbol
