route object

Why doesn’t the reverse API consistently include the ‘route’ object in its response? Is there a method to retrieve the ‘route’ object for all reverse geocoding API requests?

Thank you for providing the examples.

Please note that reverse geocoding involves obtaining objects in close proximity to the given point with some small margin (~up to 100 meters). Therefore, in the first case(42.4368447420001,-71.607055445 and 42.487490167,-71.520050828), 0.2 miles is too far away. In the second case(42.194404401,-73.170533204), the nearest road is significantly closer (~100 ft), so the “route” object is included in the results.

Best regards,

The route path is located approximately 0.2 miles from the mentioned locations. Despite this proximity, reverse geocoding still fails to provide a route object.

The route path is located approximately 0.2 miles from the mentioned location. Reverse geocoding provides a route object.

Please check these locations and their differences.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

There could be several reasons for this behavior. For example, the ‘route’ as an object may be missing in our geodata database. The ‘route’ object could be far from the location for reverse geocoding. Also, please note that up to 5 most relevant objects are output in the response.
Could you provide some examples so that we can analyze them more closely?

Best regards,
