Does the Free Plan have a hard limit

Planning on subscribing to the free plan, is there any way to make sure a program doesn’t accidentally create an infinite loop and charge my card thousands of dollars? Want to use just a couple times an hour and don’t want to risk it if there isnt any safeguard in place
