Does the API return a base64 data URL or a normal url link?

Please reply instead of ignoring the questions. Does the API return a link in the form of a base64 data url or a normal https url? Because in order to upload the qr code image to another service i use i need https and not data urls.
It annoys me the fact that I have to pay in order to find out if the API works as intended.
