Student Access For May

Hi! We are interested in using this API to build an Android application for scanning foods and checking if they fit a user’s specific diet (vegan, nut allergies, low sugar, etc). This application would be our final project in ‘Entrepreneurship for Engineers’ class at NYU. Spoonacular seems perfect for us and would save us the trouble of building out this backend functionality ourselves.
We only need access for the month of May (through the presentation of the final project, specifically May 16). Please let us know soon if we could be granted access. We don’t mind a daily query limit, we just aren’t comfortable putting in our card information. Thanks!

Hi, because the academic plan does have a daily limit, you will not be able to accept an invitation to join the academic plan without entering a credit card. Overage charges are easily avoided, but again, they mean a credit card is required. Sorry for the inconvenience - mashape doesn’t currently allow us to simply restrict access once the daily limit is met, so we don’t have a better solution at the moment. If you’d still like to use the API, please email us so we can explain how you can see how many requests you’ve used to avoid exceeding your allotment.
