Core Concepts

Each plan contains 4 different databases:

• 1 day (name)
• 90 days (name_90d)
• 1 year (name_1yr)
• 10 Years (name_10y)

Each database has a retention policy. Measurements older than the retention policy time are removed. Write access only exist for the main (name) database. This name could be retrieved using the /manage API endpoint and is fixed to the RapidAPI user account (API key).

It is not possible to upload historic measurements older than a day. However, measurements in general are stored for up to 10 years and get automatically downsampled per each database (see plans and pricing).

A measurement is a reading of a particular device/sensor at a given point in time. Depending on the type of device, a measurement might contain several fields (for example an Energy Meter has: a meter reading, power, voltage,…). Within a database, several measurements might co-exist.
