hoaxy API Documentation

Hoaxy visualizes the spread of claims and related fact checking online. A claim may be a fake news article, hoax, rumor, conspiracy theory, satire, or even an accurate report. Anyone can use Hoaxy to explore how claims spread across social media. You can select any matching fact-checking articles to observe how those spread as well.

Header Parameters

X-RapidAPI-KeySTRING
REQUIRED
Required Parameters
querySTRING
REQUIREDKeywords to search. Lucene query syntax is supported, e.g., +title:Trump. Available field names are 'title', 'meta', 'content', 'canonical_url' and 'date_published'. The field date_published is saved as text 'yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss', you can use a termrangefilter on this field, e.g., the string 'pizzagate AND date_published:[2016-10-28 TO 2016-12-04]' will query documents with any fields contain pizzagate and the date_published is between 2016-10-28 to 2016-12-04. For this to work, you must set `use_lucene_index` to true (see below).
Optional Parameters
sort_bySTRING
OPTIONALChoices {relevant, recent}. Specify how to sort the result, by the most relevant or recent. Default relevant.
use_lucene_syntaxBOOLEAN
OPTIONALWhether the query string is in Lucene query syntax. By default, it is false meaning all Lucene reserved characters would be removed.
