It would have been nice to be able to filter by region too.
For the moment I will filter the results based on regionCode, but maybe wikiDataId it would heve been better

If you want to filter cities for a given country region, you can already do this by using the /v1/geo/countries/{countryId}/regions/{regionCode}/cities endpoint

Filtering by region doesn’t make sense for the /v1/geo/cities endpoint, since regions are specific to countries.
