Provide a REST call to search by topLevelDomain

I came across your API which sounds promising to me. I’m a Domainer and I want to use the API to return the name of the Country out of a given Top-Level-Domain (ccTLD). Unfortunately, that’s not possible at the moment and would be great to have as REST API function available. Unfortunately, I can’t simply use the “alpha2Code” because it does not always match the ccTLD. At least if there is more than one ccTLD available - as it happens sometimes in the response - like for BQ (Bonaire) where .AN and .NL is returned - it would fail. This might be already another issue for BQ especially? Because .AN as ccTLD is deleted but succeeded by .CW and .SX. The ccTLD .NL should only cover the Netherlands.
Here are some other examples, where the alpha2Code mapping to the ccTLD does not work:

  • UM (United States Minor Outlying Islands) is alpha2Code but the associated ccTLD is .US
  • GB (Great Britain) where the ccTLD is .UK
  • XK (Republic of Kosovo) does not have it’s own ccTLD yet

There might be more, but these are the stuff I can remember.
So my question would be, if there is a change to have a REST call to search by ccTLD as well?

Thanks!
