I plan to use the api from a mobile app, that means the key will be inside the app itself. Is there any way for me to protect the api key from theft? Or is there an option to throttle requests?
If your API key is not exposed to the end user, and the requests that are made to Ujeebu via your app are SSL encrypted (which they should be since RapidAPI uses https) then there shouldn’t be any issues with key theft.
As far as throttling goes, depending on which plan you are on we apply rate limiting on the requests we serve (e.g. 1 request/sec). If you would like us to throttle this further, we can definitely create a custom plan for you with the rate limiting of your choice. Please let us know what a reasonable rate limit would be in your case and we’ll take it from there.
