Country code format?

Which country code (response.country.code) format / standard is used in this API, please?
E.g.: For Czech Republic is used “CZ”, but we need “cs” (small letters, different characters).
Please could you modify this API to provide also ISO 639-1 country codes?

ISO 639-1 are used for standardized URI translations.

ISO-3166-1 standard is used for the country code: response.country.code
ISO-3166-2 standard is used for the area code: response.area.code
ISO 639-1 is used for languages of the country: response.country.languages.
