Channel ID conversion - Super Long

When converting a channel username to an ID the conversion time can be unpredictable. Sometimes its 1400 ms but others its 20000 - 60000 ms and causes my server to timeout. Any idea if we can get more consistent return?

The average is around 900ms, but there are times where it jumps high. Can you please open a ticket, I will definitely look into it and get back to you.
