Hello, I am interested in flight connections older than 2017. So in the years 2016 and before. Is there any chance that I can get hold of these dates somewhere?

Unfortunately, we don't have data going back further than September 2017. I don't think there's a way for us to backfill this data as it's very hard to come by.
