PHP , using IMDB number

Hi there. 
 
I have a PHP page that holds the IMDB ID number for a particular film, I want to know if this is available on NETFLIX.

Would it be possible to get me started, please? I'm a little stuck.

I've tried using the sample within the testing endpoint but when I copy the PHP code, I get a 500 error. Is this using CURL? Is there a way of not using this within PHP?
