Does one match correspond to one request because I see there is a limit of 40,000 requests? If yes, is there another way?

One Odds-request is for one match but as many bookmakers as you want. This counts as one of the 40.000 requests. The more requests you need the cheaper the costs per request.
For historical Odds you receive all scraped Odds for one match all at once.
