Returned: is an array containing information about the vehicle with the given VIN. In this case, it contains a single object within the array.

year: The year the vehicle was manufactured. In this example, it’s “2014”.
make: The make or manufacturer of the vehicle. Here, it’s “KIA”.
model: The model of the vehicle. In this case, it’s “OPTIMA LX”.
numberOfRecords: This field might indicate the number of records related to this particular vehicle.
yearMakeModel: This field provides a concatenated string of the year, make, and model of the vehicle. In this case, it’s “2014 KIA OPTIMA LX”.

Two options are available here QUICK and FULL for the search_type parameter. QUICK returns basic details about the vehicle, such as year / make / model, and FULL returns the VIN also. However, to prevent abuse, all “FULL” requests must include a Google captcha key in the search_key field. This is to prove that there is a human user making the request.
