error rate 37.85% and server going down

Dear Facemark Team,

we use your API within one of our apps that currently has quickly growing user amounts and today we had a peak that led to Facemark going down. Also we experienced today a 37.85% error rate. Can you please ensure to have you servers prepared for high loads within the next month?

Hi Kristina,
Yes, sure, the error rate has increased suddenly because of the server load. Now this problem is gone, and we can ensure old error rate of about 4%.
As we have just updated our infrastructure the hint would be useful. I’ve sent you a message through contact form of http://mapmybeauty.com/, so let us know if there is a puch.
We have also updated your plan so you wouldn’t spend $10,000 this month for FaceMark calls.

Dear Andy,

many thanks for helping us out and increasing the number of resources.

Would you also be so kind and explain, why the error rate was increasing suddenly from about 4% to 37%? Did this issue happen due to the server load? We just need to ensure that your the service is running reliably. We plan to partner with you for a longer time period (and also our next set of apps) and would need to ensure that your service is not getting down each time we have a marketing push or high server loads. Also the error rate must be constantly in a range of 3-4% to be of interest for us. Can you ensure this? Would it help if we give you a hint two to three days in advance of teh marketing push (=high server load) to prevent these error rates?

And finally: If we decide to go with your service also for our next apps and to have a longterm partnership, would you be able to offer us a tech support and what would it cost? When we really roll out more apps with you in the future we must be sure to have a person we an speak to directly in case an issue occurs. Would this be possible?

Thank you for using our API! We apologize for any inconvinience caused by performance issues. FaceMark is powered by a very CPU-intensive software and we’ve now increased the amount of resources it can use. Please let us know if we can do anything else for you.
