We are participating in a hackathon and would love to try out your API…is there a developer plan that we could utilize until end of day on Sunday, June 28th?
Would it be possible to share the plan that you’ve created with my hackathon partner Alex ( https://www.mashape.com/7h3kk1d ) - he’s building out the backend for the app that we are building.
that’s funny, we were at Techweek Thursday and yesterday with spoonacular and almost participated in the battlehack ourselves, glad you take care of that for us now 😃
Regarding the price per serving: I saw it is not in the recipe information endpoint but you could get it either via the summarize endpoint using the recipe id and then regexp it out of the text or the visualize price breakdown endpoint (https://www.mashape.com/webknox/recipe#visualize-price-breakdown). In both cases you unfortunately have to use regexp to grab it out of the result: ($\d+.\d+)
oh sweet! that’s awesome! yeah, we are going to be utilizing it for this hackathon: https://2015.battlehack.org/chicago - started today and goes on 'till end of Sunday evening.
Hey Albert,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m here whenever you feel like creating something new with the API.
Best,
David
Hello David,
Hackathon went great, we didn’t win, but here’s a link a mobile app that we’ve created using your API:
https://github.com/albertpak/battlehack-foodojo
it was great, easy to use and documentation was great.
Looking forward to build things in a future.
Hey Albert,
how did you do at battlehack? What was your result, anything cool to share?
Best,
David
Sure can, sure did 😃
Definitely putting your api to a good use 😃

what i was looking for in the API was ability to get price per serving…which endpoint is it in?

Hi,
Of course! I invited you to the completely unlimited free plan. I’d be happy to see what you’ve built with it. Which hackathon is that?
Good luck and happy hacking 😉
David
