q=site:lefigaro.fr gives 16 instead of 16 000 000

encoding input or playing with X-Proxy-Location changes nothing

It should be a part of the response. In the response there is a field for total which is the value that you see โ€œApproximatly X resultsโ€

Sometimes the query does not return a total. It all depends on the query.

So for q=site:lefigaro.fr it is showing

"total": 12100000,

Hi,
You misunderstood my request.
site: is a command to list the number of indexed pages of a site on google.
e.g. https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Alefigaro.fr

I am talking about the value of the line โ€œApproximatly X results (Y seconds)โ€

Hello.

Thanks for using our service. Yes, Google return total results, however it is not possible to get all (thousands/millions) of the links . Google limits the results to a max of 300-500 results.

You can get a max of 100 results per query using the parameter num=100 and index the results using the start parameter.

To get the first 100 results use q=site:lefigaro.fr&num=100&start=0
To get the 100-199 results use q=site:lefigaro.fr&num=100&start=100
To get the 200-299 results use q=site:lefigaro.fr&num=100&start=200
To get the 300-399 results use q=site:lefigaro.fr&num=100&start=300
