Is new version of API in progress?

Hey! I want build stable and cool app based on this API but now I see many problems with retrieving data. It is not flexible and very expensive processes.
Do you working on new API version right now? What new features is gonna release?

/seasons - is it mean you have history for 3 years?
/countries - I found this usable for app routing, but itt can be much better. Like with ID, short name, flag-src.
