DND api with .net framework 3.5

I am currently working on sharepoint 2010 which is build on .net framework 3.5.
Can we use this DND API on 3.5.

Hey I did tried adding it my existing framework 3.5 sharepoint solution but got the error message that target framework are not same.

use unirest, it works out as per my calculations.
