I’m interested in using the food API, you seem to have a lot of really useful endpoints and I could certainly make use of it.

One of the things that I need, and is missing from your API is this…

I’d like to extract the ingredients mentioned in a section of text e.g. I would send my ingredients list and a string e.g. “Start by marinating the chicken. Cut into 1 inch chunks and rub with the salt and lemon. Add the rest of the tikka ingredients, mix well, cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.” and could get back a list of the ingredients from the list that were mentioned in the text.

I realize this is not an easy thing to do… I think it should be possible, using NLP to classify words as ingredients then match them to ingredient names/groups etc. Before I embark on doing this for my self, I’d be interested to know if its something you’d consider adding to your API?
