I just wanted to verify that all schedule dates for games are in UTC, is that correct? If so what is the reason for the “date” filter asking for Eastern?

You’re correct about the schedule dates being in UTC.

Eastern time is used for consistency. For example, if there are a number of games between 12pm and 9pm Eastern, if UTC were used as the basis for the date filter, not all games would be returned in the query for a single day.
