Introduction

Hi, in this simple and short tutorial we will see how to convert and download a YouTube video into an mp3 audio file.

Prerequisites

First you need to sign up to the YouTube to mp3 API to receive the API key, which from now on we will call “YOUR_API_KEY”.

Detailed Steps

Once we have the key we can make a call to the /download endpoint. In this call we will have to insert as header your “YOUR_API_KEY” and the ulr of the Youtube video you want to convert. The image shows an example performed using Postman.

At this point the conversion begins and we can check the status of the conversion with the /status API call using the id of the /download response.

When the download status is AVAILABLE we can download the mp3 audio using the link in the API response /download or /status.
