The Workout API provides an extensive database of exercises, allowing users to retrieve workout routines based on specific muscle groups and available equipment. Whether youโ€™re looking to tone your biceps or find a full-body stretching routine, our API delivers personalized recommendations to fit your fitness goals.

Features

  • Muscle Group Selection: Choose from a variety of muscle groups such as
  •  Biceps, Triceps, Chest, Back, Legs, Abs, Lats, Hamstring, Calves, Quadriceps, Trapezius, Shoulders, Glutes, Stretching, and Warm-Up to tailor your workout
    
  • Flexible Workout Search: Input the name or part of the name of an exercise
  • e.g., entering "Curl" will return "Barbell Curl" and "Dumbbell Curl"
    
  • Intensity Level: Input the name or part of the name of an exercise
  • Choose one of three Intensity Levels (Beginner , Intermediate, Expert)
    
  • Equipment-Based Filtering: Specify the equipment you have at hand, and the API will provide exercises that utilize it. Partial names are supported
  • e.g., "Bench" will include routines with various bench types
    
  • Set and Rep Recommendations: Get standard recommendations for sets and reps, typically between 3-4 sets of 8-12 reps to balance strength and endurance.
  • Rest Intervals: By default, the API recommends a 1-minute break between sets to optimize recovery.
  • Exercise Descriptions: Each workout comes with a concise explanation to ensure correct form and technique.
