I am trying to use an API key for my app but I do not know how to request one. Thanks!

If you are a user on mashape (which you are) you have a private API key already. Once you subscribe to spoonacular you can use that. https://spoonacular.com/food-api/discussion#!/food-api:where-can-i-find-my-api-key
