Spoonacular - pricing

Hi,

I have a question regarding pricing - the free plan has 50 requests per day and the 0.007$ per extra. Does this mean that once we reach 50 requests on a particular day, we will pay 0.007 for every additional request?

Also,
I would like to integrate the API with our app - do you have any DEV endpoint for testing?

Hey, kind of. We use ingredient ids that match the USDA ingredient ids if they have them. Sometimes we have more data than the USDA database and our ingredient ids will have no match in the USDA.

So basically check the ingredient ids against the USDA data. Hope that helps 😃

Hi Dave, Thanks a lot for your reply. I’m currently incorporating Spoonacular into our app and it would be super useful for me to map the recipe ingredients to USDA format, as we use this one already. Is there any way to map it using the API?

Hi Magda,

Yes your interpretation of the pricing is correct.

What do you mean by DEV endpoint? Why would you not use the “normal” endpoint?
