Is the data stale? If so, how many days stale?

For example: a response given by this api shows the below listing as Active, while Zillow and Redfin shows the house as Sold.

Hi there,

Sorry for the late reply!

Our data is not “stale”, but what occasionally happens is that we are not aware that the listing was actually removed or closed, so the “status” property may remain set to “Active”, as seen in your example. You will also notice that we don’t know the “removedDate” of this listing.

Depending on your specific implementation and usage of this data, I would maybe check the “lastSeen” field, in addition to “status”, and not consider a listing active if it’s too far in the past. You can see that this listing was last seen by our system back in September 2021, so it’s likely it is not an active listing any longer.

I definitely see how we can improve this behavior on our-end and will forward this feedback to our product team!
