Can’t reproduce your latest issues either. For both the recipes your reported, images do work:

And this morning it is mostly working. Garlic chicken (107878) and Chicken Saltimbocca (136858) are placeholders. Not sure what I or you changed. Thanks for getting back to me.
Query was “chicken” and I used the image urls in the response and got placeholders (a graphic of a dome over a dish) and I followed the instructions at that link and got placeholders.
Placeholders are very rare. Almost all recipes have images. I cannot reproduce your problem. Please provide a detailed query where you experience this. Also, please read https://spoonacular.com/food-api/docs#Show-Images
