This is a minor release and has no known breaking changes.

We’ve added eight (8) new endpoints to enrich your application with new feature sets for your users, company, organization, or church. These endpoints are: ‘GetBibleReadingPlan’, ‘GetChapterByBookAndChapterId’, GetBookAndChapterNameByBookAndChapterId’, ‘GetParseVerseId’, ‘GetReadingTimeByAge’, ‘GetWordCountOfBook’, ‘GetWordCountOfChapter’, and ‘GetWordCountOfVerse’.

New Features

• ‘GetBibleReadingPlan’: This endpoint will return a Bible reading plan dividing the Bible into chapters according to the days specified. There are optional parameters that you can set after the required ‘days’ parameter.
• ‘GetChapterByBookAndChapterId’: Developed to use with the ‘GetBibleReadingPlan’, it returns a complete Bible chapter according to the ‘bookAndChapterId’ and ‘versionId’ submitted.
• ‘GetBookAndChapterNameByBookAndChapterId’: The endpoint will return the name of the book and chapter as specified in the ‘bookAndChapterId’ and ‘language’ parameter values.
• ‘GetParseVerseId’: Parses any ‘verseId’ to return additional IDs for books, chapters, and verses. See the notes under ‘Bug fixes’ below.
• ‘GetReadingTimeByAge’: This response contains information about how long, on average, it should take a reader of a specified age to read a number of words.
• ‘GetWordCountOfBook’: Provides a count of all of the words in the specified book.
• ‘GetWordCountOfChapter’: This will return a count of all of the words in any given chapter.
• ‘GetWordCountOfVerse’: This endpoint’s response will contain a count of all of the words of any given verse.

Bug Fixes

• ‘GetParseVerseId’ had been developed in a previous version, but it was undocumented, and not available via RapidAPI. We added the endpoint to RapidAPI for all users and updated the documentation accordingly.
• Various typographical errors in the documentation.
• GetAudioNarration not working on RapidAPI
