We hope you enjoyed your summer!
We’re excited to announce the Rapid API Enterprise Hub release for August 2023! Our dedicated team strives to provide you with the best possible experience with our product, and we’re always looking for ways to improve.
This release brings many new features, improvements, and bug fixes to the Enterprise Hub, making it easier and more efficient for enterprises to manage their APIs and apps.
First, we’ve partnered with AudioEye to support ADA and WCAG accessibility of the Enterprise Hub. This partnership means enterprises can now easily add the AudioEye accessibility tool to their Enterprise Hub.
We’ve also added a documentation page with example code and a demo video on using the GraphQL Platform API and GitHub Actions to automatically keep your API listings in the Enterprise Hub in sync with your OAS files in a GitHub repository. Using the GraphQL Platform API and GitHub Actions makes it easier for enterprises to integrate their CI/CD pipelines with the Enterprise Hub.
In addition, we’ve added an example of how to use the Platform Analytics API with Azure API gateways. Platform Analytics API integration with Azure API gateways allows APIs not using the Rapid Proxy to show usage analytics to API providers and consumers.
We’ve also added the ability to set up a custom domain for your Enterprise Hub using a self-service approach. This ability makes it easier for enterprises to customize their Enterprise Hub to their needs.
We’ve split the ability to manage APIs and apps into two separate permissions for team user roles. This functionality allows org admins to specify that only certain team members can manage apps.
We’ve also added the following Events / Webhooks: Announcement Created, Discussion Created, Message Created, and Discussion Comment Created. These allow enterprises to act on announcements, discussions, and messages in any way their workflows require.
In addition, we’ve improved the user experience of the API Gateways tab of the Admin Panel, the Tags tab of the Admin Panel, the SEO (search engine optimization) tab of the Admin Panel, the Categories tab of the Admin Panel, and the Collections tab of the Admin Panel.
We’ve also enhanced API Access Provisioning in the following ways: APIs that use the Rapid proxy now support Access Provisioning. OAuth 2 PASSWORD grant type is now supported, and for OAuth 2 client credentials grant types, if your authorization server uses JWT, the private key and JWT format are saved with the Authorization.
Finally, we’ve removed the MP Hero and Features tab from the API details page in the Admin Panel, as it was not previously functioning.
We hope you enjoy the new features and improvements in the Enterprise Hub August 2023 Release Notes!
We’re always looking for ways to improve the Enterprise Hub, so if you have any issues or bugs, don’t hesitate to contact us on our support page.
