After listening to our community’s feedback, we are excited to launch several new updates to RapidAPI. We hope these features make the Marketplace even easier to use. As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
Hard Limits
Update: Providers can now implement hard limits for API consumption. This can prevent accidental overages and provides more flexibility and control over pricing plans.
Where to Find It: Find this setting by navigating to the “Plans and Pricing” tab, editing the public subscription plan, and selecting the hard limit option.
Developer Dashboard
Update: The Developer Dashboard has been redesigned to make it easier to navigate and use. A few specific additions worth noting include:
- Adjusting Analytics Resolution: It is now possible to display analytics in different increments. This allows you to view long term patterns, short term trends, or anything in between.
- Quota Period and Quota Usage Visualization: Easily see quota information visualized on the Subscriptions and Usage tab. This will allow you to better manage your API consumption and adjust subscriptions accordingly.
Where to Find It: View your dashboard in the same place as before by clicking the “My Apps” tab in the homepage navigation.
Bookmarking APIs
Update: It is now possible to bookmark APIs and add them to a saved collection. This makes it easy to save any API and find it later.
Where to Find It: Bookmark icons are displayed in the top right corner of the API previews. They can also be found in the top left corner of the API’s page.
You can view your saved collection by clicking on your profile dropdown and selecting “My Saved APIs”
Swagger Upload
Update: RapidAPI now supports Swagger uploads. This is a much faster process since endpoints are automatically populated instead of manually entered.
Where to Find It: This is now an option on the “New API” screen.
